We are thrilled to announce that Good Medicine founder, James Q. Chan, is the recipient of a 2014 Pacific Pioneer Fund for his project Frank Wong’s Chinatown! THANK YOU to the board members of Pacific Pioneer for this prestigious award and support!
The Pacific Pioneer Fund was founded in 1980 “as a response to an under supported community of dedicated and talented artists”. It remains a private foundation with the exclusive mission to support “emerging” West Coast documentary film- and video-makers. They make one grant in a filmmakers career and 100% of the foundation’s overall budget goes to film and video projects. Early on they funded Kristine Samuelson, Lourdes Portillo, Rob Epstein, and Terry Zwigoff among others.
